The newest bar from Quinary’s Antonio Lai and Samuel Kwok, The Opposites explores dichotomies in its beverages.
Each double-page of the menu is grounded in a particular drink, while Lai and Kwok offer their juxtaposed renditions of the concoction, ranging from pisco sours to pimms.

The Bellwood is Atsushi Suzuki’s homecoming project after six years in New York and Shanghai, combining a traditional Japanese setting with modern drinks construction.
Cocktails follow the order of kaiseki, so expect a BW Martini (shishito-distilled gin, tomato, gari, burnt yuzu, dashi olives) for the first-course sakizuke (appetiser) and Genmai Mango Sazerac for the gohan (rice) course.

Opened in 2016, The Curator (officially known as The Curator Coffee and Cocktails) is a stalwart of the Asia’s 50 Best Bars rankings, thanks to its speciality in all things caffeinated.
Each of its drinks in the cosy backroom are named after individuals and groups the bar team find inspirational, ranging from local famed restaurant Toyo Eatery to the Dave Matthews Band.

The Prohibition-style speakeasy led by larger-than-life duo Toru Ariyoshi and Keisuke Yamamoto serve up playful renditions of classic drinks, whether as a peanut butter and jelly-infused manhattan or a hoji tea and coffee-spiked negroni.

Taiwanese drinks writer Tonic Liu opened Maltail in September 2024 to create a space that honoured his two favourite things: single malt whisky and cocktails, hence the name.
The resulting moody bar has been an immediate hit, with a forward-thinking drinks list that utilises modern tech to maximise flavour concentration of its drinks, many of which are available on draught.

Under Lab fully leans into its name with its squeaky-clean stainless-steel interiors and scientific levels of flavour extraction.

When it opened its sliding doors in 2017, Bar Mood was one of the first craft cocktail bars in Taiwan. The homey feel of the space is no accident, with every piece of furniture in the bar hand-crafted by owner Nick Wu’s parents.
Cocktails pay homage to the agricultural traditions of the island, with native flowers, herbs and botanicals used for garnishes grown on its bar counter.
