The prestigious MICHELIN Guide has recognized five West Hollywood restaurants and 14 hotels for culinary and hospitality excellence. Here’s what you need to know.
A visit to West Hollywood has always been a treat for the senses, and several of the city’s restaurants and hotels just got some well-deserved acclaim to underscore this point.
In the 2025 MICHELIN Guide California, five West Hollywood restaurants have been recognized for their culinary excellence, including Somni, one of Los Angeles’ first to receive three stars.
Not to be outdone by the restaurants, six West Hollywood hotels have been awarded the MICHELIN Key, reserved for accommodations that offer very special stays. This year, the Pendry West Hollywood was awarded two MICHELIN Keys for its stylish interiors and exceptional hospitality.
Read on to get a closer look at the properties included in this year’s selection — and book your visit before everyone else does!
2025 MICHELIN Guide Restaurant Selection
Somni
Somni
Three Stars
After the first iteration of Somni closed during the pandemic, chef Aitor Zabala and his team spent three years imagining something new — a “tiny territory at the edge of West Hollywood, devoted to virtuous hedonistic pleasure and creative culture.
” Book the Chef’s Counter Experience for a front-row view of the kitchen, and learn why this Spanish-inspired dining destination is one of L.A.’s first restaurants to earn three MICHELIN stars.
What the Guide says: “Chef Aitor Zabala and his dedicated team have awakened Somni, Catalan for ‘dream,’ from a long sleep and have fashioned this revamped iteration as a distinctly personal and unique dining experience.
A procession of small bites is meticulously arranged and endlessly creative, sating diners with an abundance of rich flavors and textural interplay (think mussel escabeche, gazpacho or the iconic shiso tartare tempura).”
Stepping into Stella in the Design District is like traveling back in time to 1950s Italy, with deep wood accents, vintage-inspired leather booths and warm, comforting lighting. The menu is equally comforting and daring, with fresh, seasonal ingredients and rich Italian classics.
What the Guide says: “Italian food with local California products is the promise at Stella, where a two-story dining room has an Art Deco flair, and the chef’s counter offers a mesmerizing look at live-fire cooking.
Don’t miss the lardo di Colonanta, a dish of thinly sliced and meltingly soft lardo paired with strawberries, razor-thin caciocavello cheese and a balsamic amaro.”
With dishes like beef tartare with bone marrow and sole served with grenobloise sauce, it’s no wonder Amour was quickly added to the MICHELIN Guide shortly after opening in December 2023.
Guests can dine in this elevated French brasserie’s antique-ladenLa Salle á Manger, on Le Patio & Le Jardin(complete with fireplace and fountain) or in the opulent, private Parisian dining room (by request).
What the Guide says: “Indoors or out? It’s the eternal question in Los Angeles, but even more difficult to decide at Amour.
Banquettes and booths beckon on the patio, while the dining room, accessed through a library stacked with vintage books, is loaded with charm down to the very last candlestick. Multi-course tasting menus are on offer or order à la carte from a menu that blends French and Asian influences.”
Eclectic East- and West-Coast vibes mix at Connie & Ted’s, where the “funky interior and seafaring knickknacks” pay homage to Chef Michael Cimarusti’s New England roots.
Expect an extensive raw bar and sustainable, wild-caught seafood sourced from the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
What the Guide says: “Chowder is a must for a seafood spot and this particular one offers a tempting flight of three: creamy New England, tomato-based Manhattan and buttery Rhode Island.
The lobster roll, packed with tail and claw meat, is a gem among solo diners, while chilled seafood platters and the oak-grilled fish are great for crowds. Don’t forget to grab a bit of saltwater taffy on your way out.”
Another MICHELIN veteran that held its status this year is Ardor, the stylish in-house restaurant of The West Hollywood EDITION hotel.
Vegetables take center stage on Chef John Fraser’s menu, but carnivores will find plenty to love in Ardor’s grilled branzino, high-end cuts of beef and lamb cooked under pine — all of which earned high marks from the Guide. Equally drool-worthy are the tropical-chic interiors, which will make you feel like you’ve walked into an Architectural Digest spread.
What the Guide says: “If a luxury spa ran a restaurant, it would probably look something like Ardor. Cushy white velvet and leather booths, white and beige staff uniforms, and enough verdant greenery to rival a small forest match the equally chic aesthetic at its parent venue, The West Hollywood EDITION hotel.”
