Guide To West Hollywood’s 2025 MICHELIN Restaurants & Hotels Part 3

What the Guide says: “The Sunset Strip may seem an odd setting for the fastidiously green, clean-living 1 Hotel West Hollywood, but this is an unusually walkable corner of Los Angeles, and right here at the literal foot of the Hollywood Hills, the hotel’s signature foliage makes the perfect transition between city and nature.

Rooms and suites are stylish in neutrals and organic materials, the comforts are upscale without feeling ostentatious, and some of the views are truly extraordinary.”

What the Guide says: “Rooms are beautifully luxe and visually sparse, with views of the city or the Hollywood Hills; the British architect John Pawson brings an upscale gravity to modernist-friendly Southern California.

It’s positioned, both literally and metaphorically, where the Sunset Strip meets Beverly Hills, and its restaurant, rooftop lounge, lobby bar and subterranean nightclub suitably straddle the line between refinement and decadence, while the spa prepares you to do it all again the very next night.”

Montrose at Beverly Hills

A living room in a suite at the Montrose at Beverly Hills, with a leather sectional, dark wood coffee table, bright yellow rug and other quirky, colorful furnishings.

What the Guide says: “Its suites are made for rest and relaxation, and perhaps a bit of private entertaining.

55-inch televisions, Keurig coffee makers, fireplaces, and fully stocked minibars are standard, and some suites add kitchenettes and/or balconies.

A multi-use lounge slowly evolves over the course of the day from a relaxed co-working space to a livelier social scene thanks to the Vino & Vinyl Hour. And while the Montrose does have a restaurant, Tone, crucially it’s for guests of the hotel only — as is the rooftop cafe, for a drink or a light bite by the pool with a 360° view of West Hollywood and Beverly Hills.”

Petite Ermitage

What the Guide says: “Diversions include yoga classes or spa treatments delivered en suite, and the jewel in the Petit Ermitage’s crown is the saltwater rooftop pool.

By day it’s the place to catch a ray or two, but by night, in keeping with local custom, it turns into a lounge space full of nooks and crannies, from the private cabanas to the gardens, a haven for butterflies and hummingbirds. A typical Los Angeles hotel this most certainly isn’t.”

Mondrian Los Angeles

MICHELIN Selected
Rated 17.7 out of 20 by verified guests

What the Guide says: “The rooms are surprisingly accessible in their comfort, and they’re quite large, in classic boutique white-on-white but with living rooms and kitchens to boot.

The views from this twelve-story tower, through floor-to-ceiling windows, are phenomenal, and while the service is a bit more hands-off than the luxury standard, it only contributes to the guests’ privacy and independence.”
