Contemporary İstanbul Exclusive / Ci Bloom Returns This Spring With İts 5th Edition / By Oktay Kabdan

CI BLOOM, launched by Contemporary Istanbul, returns for its 5th edition between 15–19 April
2026 at the Rumeli Hall of the Lütfi Kırdar Convention and Exhibition Center, bringing
together galleries, artists, and emerging art initiatives at the heart of Istanbul’s contemporary art scene.

Continuing to grow each year, CI BLOOM creates a dedicated platform for current artistic
production by uniting galleries and independent initiatives from across Türkiye.

Shaped by young, bold, and forward-looking perspectives, the fair offers collectors, art professionals, and visitors a
space for discovery, dialogue, and new encounters.

CI BLOOM functions as a dynamic meeting point where new ideas, diverse voices, and creative energy converge. The fair contributes to the visibility of emerging galleries and initiatives while reinforcing Istanbul’s position within the international contemporary art landscape.

Ali Güreli, Founder of Contemporary Istanbul, said: “CI BLOOM was conceived as a platform to
highlight young artistic voices and to give visibility to emerging galleries from across Turkey.

It has become an important point of entry into the wider ecosystem.

Many of the galleries that
begin at CI BLOOM go on to participate in Contemporary Istanbul, strengthening their presence both locally and internationally.”

The 5th edition of CI BLOOM is realized in partnership with BMW Türkiye (distributed by Borusan Otomotiv Türkiye), with Pernod Ricard Türkiye as co-partner and Turkish Airlines | Miles&Smiles as the official airline partner.

The fair is supported internationally by the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), with city communication support from İBB Kültür AŞ and accommodation support from The Bank Hotel Istanbul.

As CI BLOOM marks its fifth edition in 2026, the fair is being implemented through a model that prioritizes the sustainability of the art ecosystem in light of current geopolitical and economic conditions.

Participation fees for selected galleries have been set 30% below 2025 levels, and
the exchange rate has been fixed in Turkish lira ahead of the fair to eliminate currency risk
for participating galleries.

This approach reflects Contemporary Istanbul’s long-term
commitment to supporting galleries and fostering a sustainable art market.
