The latest opening from Ennismore – the group behind SO/, Mondrian and The Hoxton – brings the playful luxury of SLS Hotels to the shores of Barcelona

SLS Hotels has made its European debut with the opening of SLS Barcelona, a 471-room waterfront resort in the city’s vibrant Port Fòrum district. Part of Ennismore – the lifestyle hospitality group behind brands such as SO/, Mondrian, and The Hoxton – SLS is known for its bold design, nightlife energy and immersive food and drink experiences.

With three pools, six dining venues and a rooftop playground opening in the summer, SLS Barcelona offers a design-forward urban escape just minutes from the city’s cultural landmarks and coastline.

Each guest room and suite at SLS Barcelona features a private balcony or terrace, many overlooking the marina or Mediterranean Sea. Interiors by the acclaimed Rockwell Group mix high-gloss materials with warm timber, Venetian mirrors and sculptural lighting. Signature touches include golden hand-shaped curtain ties and anthropomorphic portraits, with the top-tier Celestial Suite offering nearly 100 square metres of private rooftop space.

Facilities

The property’s three pools are spread across multiple levels, from an infinity-edge pool overlooking the water to a rooftop pool deck complete with daybeds and views stretching across the city. A 24-hour gym and spin studio is available, along with wellness classes hosted by Edan Studios, led by fitness entrepreneur Anna Lewandowska. A subterranean spa will open in late 2025.

Dining

Dining is central to the SLS experience. Lora, created with Studio Paskin, channels coastal Mediterranean flavours with a wood-fired kitchen and family-style plates. L’Anxova Divina is a casual tapas bar set beside the marina, designed in tribute to Gaudí’s layered, organic forms.

Opening soon, Kyara introduces a cocktail concept inspired by perfumery, while Cosmico – set to launch this summer – brings floating sushi boats, oversized cocktails and sunset sessions to one of Barcelona’s largest rooftops.

The hotel is also the official accommodation partner of Primavera Sound and sits within walking distance of Parc del Fòrum. Guests can charter boats directly from the marina or explore one of the area’s lesser-known beaches, just five minutes away.
